    Description

This is a "bronzetone" reproduction of an original Michael Garman sculpture.
A highwayman was, "...a man, typically on horseback, who held up travelers at gunpoint in order to rob them." Based on the size of the chest, it looks like this highwayman held up a stagecoach.
The mark on the back of the base reads:
    © 1982
    Michael Garman
    "Highwayman"
    Circa 1800s
The mark on the front side of the base reads:
    © 1982 MICHAEL GARMAN
Figure is about ten and a half inches tall; the base is about six inches in diameter.
    No chips or cracks.
The original box has been lost.
